About Dustin
Dustin is licensed in P&C, Life & Health, and has his Series 6 and 63 for Investments. Dustin is no stranger to Farm Bureau as he was with the company dating back to June of 2008 – he left for a brief time in 2019 but is back and we couldn’t be more excited to have him on our team.
Dustin was born and raised in Lincoln but resides in Hickman with his wife Jen. Dustin and Jen have been married almost 13 years and have 4 children – Kaelynn who is 12, Beckett who is 10, Gavin age 5 and Nolan age 4. Dustin and Jen enjoy all things Huskers but get the most enjoyment out of raising their 4 beautiful kids.

About Beth
Beth started with Farm Bureau in September of 2010 and has been working alongside her husband Ryan ever since. She takes care of most of the behind-the-scenes administrative work that keeps The Schmeits Agency operating smoothly. Prior to joining Ryan at Farm Bureau, Beth worked at Pinnacle Bank. Beth is originally from Sutton, NE. When Beth is not at the office, she is most likely shuttling her girls, Macy (9) and Jojo (6) between school and their activities. Beth enjoys watching Husker Football and Volleyball, playing golf, and traveling.
About Lisa
Lisa was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, and currently lives in Lincoln. She graduated from the College of Saint Mary, Omaha. She began her career at Farm Bureau Financial Services in 1995 and started with The Schmeits Agency in 2023. She is married to husband, Eric and they have three grown children: Erin, Emily, and Joe. She enjoys traveling, antiquing, and spending time with friends and family when not in the office. Lisa’s specialty in the office is telling dad jokes to anyone who will listen and laugh. Lisa handles the agency's life insurance processing and quotes new business.
About Sara
Sara joined The Schmeits Agency in August of 2018 after leaving banking. She graduated from Chadron State College with a B.A. in Business Administration with a focus in agriculture. She grew up farming and ranching in SE Wyoming prior to moving to Lincoln, NE. She and her husband welcomed their daughter (Maeve) in June of 2023, then relocated to Gering, NE where she continues to work remotely for The Schmeits Agency overseeing agency operations and focusing on client retention and improving client experiences with the agency. In her free time, you can find her on the golf course, taking care of house plants, or elk hunting.
About Carey
Carey was born in Minnesota, raised in South Dakota, and is currently living in Indianola, Iowa. (And she LOVED living in Nebraska for 3 years in between.) Carey graduated from Augustana College with a master’s degree from the University of South Dakota in Technology. She started working at The Schmeits Agency in 2020. Carey has been married to her husband, DJ since 1992 and they have three kids and three grandkids. Carey is an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and has started following the Huskers. While not at work, Carey enjoys spending time with her family, riding her horses, kayaking, and doing home improvement projects. Carey handles the agency's IT needs, as well as acting as operations coordinator.
About Zachary
Zach grew up in Harlan, IA and currently lives in Omaha, NE. He graduated from Wayne State College in 2018 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Business. Zach started his insurance career in March of 2023. He is married to Alexis, and they have a daughter, Arya who was born in August of 2023. When not in the office you can find Zach officiating basketball or on the golf course.
About Brinley
Brinley was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. She is currently attending University of Nebraska- Kearney studying Communications. She started her insurance career in May of 2023. She enjoys spending time with friends and long-term boyfriend, Jace, traveling, and spending time outdoors. While Brinley primarily helps with scheduling for the office and front desk tasks, her favorite thing is speaking with existing clients and agency marketing.
About Sydney
Sydney’s roots are from the Midwest, but she moved from North Carolina to Nebraska in 2021. Sydney has worked in the agricultural industry for 10 years prior to joining The Schmeits Agency in September 2023. She lives in Sutton, Nebraska and works at the Farm Bureau Financial Services- Sutton office. Sydney’s husband, Mike is from the area. They live on a ranch North of town with their five horses and two dogs where they run a cow/calf operation and sell direct-to-consumer beef. She enjoys all outdoor activities, training for long-distance races, and singing.
