About Nancy
As an Agent at the Farm Bureau Office in West Union, Iowa I take pride in being responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office staff and client needs. I assist clients in the service of their existing policies and meet with new clients to analyze their families current insurance and financial objectives. My goal is to create a greater understanding of insurance and to work closely with each of our clients so that we can offer a personalized experience. When working with clients it is important to recognize that there is no such thing as “one size fits all.” It is important to me that we provide the best possible service and fit each households insurance needs with the necessary policies and financial products that best protect their family in time of crisis.
Working with Farm Bureau has been the perfect fit for my career goals. I wanted to work with a company that supported me as a full service agent. Our company provides professionals in the field to truly meet the insureds intent. Our Ag Marketing Underwriters, Regional Financial Consultants, Commercial Underwriters, and Agency Managers provide a holistic approach that allows us to help protect our clients with no gaps in coverage. I am grateful to work for a company that still supports a neighborly approach while keeping in time with new resources such as online policy access.
I am a graduate of Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar. After graduating I obtained my license to sell insurance in the state of Iowa in 1996. I then went on to work for 15 years at Citizens Savings Bank in Spillville Iowa in the Lending and Compliance department before coming to Farm Bureau Financial Services in November of 2012. I worked for Francis Olson for 4 years until I became a full time agent in 2016. After becoming a full time agent I took over the management and ownership of the office in West Union.
My husband Dean and I own the Franzen Family Farm in Northern Fayette county. We transitioned from Dairy to Beef in 2017. We currently operate over 600 acres of farm land with our 2 sons Isaac and Ryan. We enjoy their many sports activities and try to participate in as many outdoor activities as a family as possible.
